Winter Magic in Flowerland

Today we moved into our imaginary city of Flowerland, which we are creating as part of the Happy Islands project. This time, our imagination took us straight to a winter wonderland!

We painted our city in a snowy setting: white rooftops, sparkling streets, icy paths, and colorful flower lanterns that brighten Flowerland even in winter. Each of us added something unique – winter gardens, fairy-tale houses, enchanted parks, and special places where residents could spend their time.

There was lots of laughter, creative ideas, and imaginative excitement while we worked. That’s how our unique winter Flowerland was created – a city of dreams that lives in our imagination. ✨❄️

Green energy

 S

Students from class 3a in Koszalin learned about a green energy producer in Poland and its facilities located in the area.

Science Festival

Today, our school hosted a unique Science Festival, prepared by four classes taking part in the international eTwinning project “Happy Islands – Ecological Cities of the Future.” We represent education in our school and in our city on the forum of European and Polish schools.

The students presented an impressive exhibition of models of their ecological cities, filled with modern and environmentally friendly solutions. There was also a series of experiments and demonstrations showing that ecology goes hand in hand with science and creativity.

During the event, the children conducted interviews and explained how to assemble a wind turbine, prepare home lighting, or create an LED card.

All participants also watched a multimedia presentation showcasing all the cities and their ecological ideas.

It was a day full of knowledge, inspiration, and great fun!

EcoTransport Company in Shadowland

We created a promotional brochure showcasing our inland vehicles. Each student drew and described their own prototype. The tool we used for this project was Book Creator.

The Zoo of the Future in Flowerland

In our Flowerland, imagination knows no limits! This time, children used their creativity and ICT tools to design imaginary animals of the future. Using modern technology, they created their appearance, gave them unique names, and described their special abilities and habitats.

Some of these creatures can glow in the dark, change colors, purify the air, or even help people take care of the planet. Each animal was unique – full of fantasy, yet thoughtfully connected to the idea of a responsible future.

By combining imagination and technology, an extraordinary digital collection was created. These amazing animals can now be “visited” at the Zoo in Flowerland – a place where dreams meet innovation.

Estimating and Measuring

Recently, we explored the concept of estimating length in class.

First, we measured various objects using blocks, comparing how many blocks it would take to measure a given item. The children enthusiastically arranged the blocks and tested which object was longer and which was shorter.

Then, we recorded our measurements on worksheets, noting the number of blocks we used to measure each object.

Finally, we connected all the cylinders together, creating a large thread.

How big is a wind turbine blade?

How big is a wind turbine blade? Today in class we turned into real researchers!

First, we learned about the lengths and widths of blades from different wind turbines – from the small ones to the truly enormous. We wondered how big they need to be to produce energy from the wind.

Then we headed to the school hallway to check these dimensions in practice. We measured, calculated, compared, and worked together in groups. It turned out that some turbine blades are so long that… our hallway was too short to measure them completely!

It was great fun combined with learning – these hands-on activities showed us how huge the parts of wind turbines can be and how important accurate measurements are.

Learning by doing – that’s what we like best!

Flowerland – Our Light-Up Cards

Today, our classroom was filled with the true magic of light!

We created light-up cards that became a special souvenir from our virtual city of Flowerland.

First, we planned the design of our cards, and then step by step we built closed circuits using LED lights. Everyone had to figure out how to guide the electrical paths, where to place the battery, and how to close the circuit so that the card would actually light up.

The results were amazing!
Beautiful, colorful cards were created – not only pleasing to the eye, but also showing that we can combine creativity with technical knowledge.

It was a fantastic lesson full of cooperation, discoveries, and the joy of creating! ✨

When you love what you do, you truly rest

Artificial intelligence helped us create a unique poster with our motto:

“When you love what you do, you truly rest.” 🌞

This phrase perfectly reflects the spirit of our project Restland – a place where learning, creativity, and relaxation come together as one. We believe that true peace comes when you do what you truly love. Thanks to AI, our idea turned into a beautiful graphic that captures the harmony and joy of creation.

Flower Power Island.

Our island is called Let's design and build our cities.

Partners’ Meeting – Greetings and City Promotion

Today, as part of the Happy Islands project, we had another meeting with our partners. In a friendly, international atmosphere, we exchanged ideas and experiences.

There were also warm greetings in English – each partner had the opportunity to introduce themselves, their city, and share interesting local facts. It was a perfect chance to promote our cities and show what makes them special.

The meeting demonstrated how important collaboration is and how much we can learn from each other. We are excited that our international friendships are growing alongside the Happy Islands project! 🌍✨

Creating a Poster to Promote Our City

Creating a Poster to Promote Our City

It was time to promote our city, Restland!  The children designed posters to show how beautiful and eco-friendly our city is. Everyone could let their imagination run wild and creatively illustrate houses, parks, playgrounds, and leisure areas. We used computer programs to bring our ideas to life, adding color, shapes, and unique details. 💻💡The posters are full of color, greenery, and joy — perfectly capturing the spirit of Restland

Creating the posters was not only fun and creative but also a great opportunity to work together and share ideas. Now our city exists not only in the model but also on posters that can inspire others!

Playground for Familiars

In EcoCity Koszalin, we designed and built playgrounds for familiars in Shadowland. We used our work from the math project, in which we created straight, curved, and broken lines in space.

Artificial Intelligence Turned Our City Model into Professional Graphics!

It was an amazing experience! Using artificial intelligence, we transformed photos of our Restland city model into professional digital graphics. From cardboard, boxes, and bottles, realistic visualizations of our eco-friendly city of the future were created. AI showed us how our ideas could look in the real world. We realized that even a model made from recycled materials can become an inspiration for modern, sustainable design.
