Today we celebrated Thanksgiving Day for the fruits of the earth and Bread Day. On that occasion, we visited the local church of St. Mark, which is a cultural monument of the Republic of Croatia. It was built in the 16th century and is made entirely of wood. There is a Baroque altar in the church. The priest told us that we should be grateful for the fruits that the earth gives us, but that we should also be grateful to each other. We should be spiritual food for each other and encourage mutual growth.

Adults said, "The sun is eternal." Children replied, "What if it isn't?"
ReplyDeleteSo they built a tool. From parts found in attics, broken mirrors, wires, and old clocks.
It was shaped like an open hand reaching toward the sky. It caught the light—not to hold it,
but to remember it. It learned about heat, color, and time, where everything grew effortlessly :)
