A happy, eco-friendly city

 Arcadialand

Design work on creating a happy, eco-friendly city of the future is nearing completion! With incredible dedication and imagination, the students created a model of their chosen city – Arcadialand. The end result exceeded all expectations – a model of a place everyone would love to live in!

Arcadialand is a city that students designed from scratch, guided by the idea of ​​harmony between humans and nature, safety, joy and ecological solutions. Their vision included:

🌿A Zone of Peace and Quiet: 

• Houses surrounded by greenery and colorful flower beds 
• Alleys filled with trees and flowers 
• A small park with hammocks 
• A cozy library 
• Vehicles powered exclusively by electricity

✨ Cleanliness and aesthetics 

• Cheerful, winding paths 
• Eco-friendly basket catchers decorated with smiling creatures

🐾 Nature-friendly architecture:

• Animal tunnels 
• Floating platforms and birdhouses 
• Houses for wild bees 
• Flowerbeds and green spaces

😄 A Smile Zone:

• A playing field, mazes, and mini obstacle courses 
• Bowling alleys and carousels 
• Climbing walls 
• Capsule games

⚡ Green energy in practice:

• Wind turbines 
• Green roofs filled with plants 
• Solar panels supporting energy production. 

Arcadialand is a happy, ecologically friendly place, full of positive energy – created together with creativity and a huge heart.

Strefa relaksu w Arcadialand

 

Uczniowie klasy 3b z Rostarzewa realizowali projekt dotyczący tworzenia strefy odpoczynku i wspólnego spędzania czasu w Arcadialand, wykorzystując różnorodne zestawy konstrukcyjne, takie jak klocki LEGO oraz Korbo. Celem zadania było rozwijanie umiejętności projektowania przestrzeni, planowania funkcjonalnych rozwiązań oraz budowania stabilnych i estetycznych konstrukcji.

Praca przebiegała w zespołach, co sprzyjało kształtowaniu kompetencji związanych z komunikacją, współdziałaniem i podejmowaniem wspólnych decyzji. Uczniowie opracowywali projekty, dobierali materiały konstrukcyjne, a następnie tworzyli elementy infrastruktury sprzyjającej relaksowi i integracji.

Powstałe projekty charakteryzują się dużą pomysłowością, starannością wykonania oraz świadomym wykorzystaniem możliwości, jakie dają nowoczesne formy klocków. Projekt stał się przykładem efektywnego łączenia edukacji technicznej z twórczym myśleniem i pracą zespołową.

Green energy in EcoCity Koszalin

We learned about renewable energy sources. We explored places near Koszalin where green energy power plants have been built. We also built models out of blocks in teams.

Playground for Familiars

In EcoCity Koszalin, we designed and built playgrounds for familiars in Shadowland. We used our work from the math project, in which we created straight, curved, and broken lines in space.

ClassDojo - avatars, familiars.

We build houses for friends in our Eco-City. Each resident has their own avatar, and they care for them. Avatars are like our shadows, and that's why we call our land as Shadowland. Avatars behave like us. It's our responsibility to raise them well, so they know what the rules are and why they exist.

Model – Town Hall in Koszalin

The residents of our EcoCity have creative classes every week. They develop skills and expand their knowledge in nature and mathematics. They dedicated an entire hour of class to creating a model of the Koszalin market square, with the Town Hall as the centerpiece. Together, they came to the conclusion that there is too much concrete on the square. So they changed the design... A sweet scent of colorful flowers filled the air.

While creating the model, they used a fantastic educational tool:

How to build an Eco-City Koszalin?

The flag was chosen for Eco-City. Flag no. 3 won by a narrow majority. Now we're starting to build the management team (as outlined in our graphic note attached below). Each student will prepare an election poster with a self-presentation. We'll elect a mayor and four councilors. They will be the leaders of the teams we'll work with in our project.

Cities of the future

Uczniowie z klasy 3b z Rostarzewa pracowali w parach, a później  w zespołach, aby w końcu jednogłośnie wybrać nazwę swojej wyspy, 

W zespołach określili, jak chcieliby nazwać swoją ekologiczną wyspę i miasto. Z różnych propozycji wybrali raj,  arkadię.

Getting to know the project

 Uczniowie klasy 3 b ze Szkoły Podstawowej w Rostarzewie pozdrawiają partnerów nowego projektu. Oficjalnie rozpoczęli prace projektowe. Zapoznali się z międzynarodowym projektem edukacyjnym oparty na podejściu STEAM. Z zainteresowaniem wysłuchali Solary Luminy i jej zachęty do zaprojektowania miasta przyszłości, w którym chcieliby żyć. Z mapy dowiedzieli się, z jakiego kraju pochodzą  nasi partnerzy. 

Flowerland – The City of the Future on the Happy Islands

Class 3c (SP5 SŁUPSK/ POLAND) has launched their project activities. Through brainstorming, the students came up with a name for the virtual eco-city of the future – Flowerland. They also chose its location on the map of the Happy Islands. Our adventure begins!
