Flowerland – The Island of Positive Emotions

In Flowerland, we believe that education is not only about gaining knowledge, but also about developing empathy, creativity, and the ability to cooperate. The Valentine’s project showed how beautifully the world of emotions can be combined with modern digital tools.

We would like to thank the girls from class 3c for their commitment and the heart they put into creating the spot. Thanks to you, Flowerland blooms even more beautifully!

Because in our world of the future, technology goes hand in hand with values.

We discover the rules of safe internet

Every February, stakeholders from around the world join forces to make the internet a safer and better place for everyone, especially children and young people. On this occasion, the third-grade students spent the last few days engaged in creative work, meaningful conversations, and great fun exploring safe internet use and exploring ideas for enjoyable offline activities.

🔐 Internet Safety – Learning to Use the Internet Wisely!

The class began with a discussion about how we use the internet every day – for learning, having fun, connecting with loved ones, and viewing interesting content. Students discussed the most important rules for using the internet safely and responsibly.

They discussed the following:
  • We don't share our personal information with anyone,
  • We only talk to people we know,
  • We use age-appropriate content,
  • If something worries us, we always tell an adult,
  • We remember to create a secure password for our accounts.
The children eagerly shared their own experiences and examples, and an atmosphere of openness and mutual understanding prevailed in the classroom.

🔤 The Alphabet of Having Fun – Screen-Free Ideas

From the letter "A" to "Z," students added activities that bring them joy and don't require the use of a computer or phone. The ideas they came up with included:

🌿 We're having fun outdoors,

🎨 We're painting,

📚 We're reading,

🎲 We're playing board games,

🛼 We're rollerblading,

🎶 We're humming,

🤝 We're meeting friends, and many others

Czas dla nas i przyjaciól autorstwa Iwona Pawłowska

The activity proved to be a great opportunity to discuss the balance between the online and offline worlds. The students agreed that time spent with loved ones is the most precious. After a creative alphabet warm-up, it was time for a unique challenge: designing a tabletop game titled "Safe Internet." The children were tasked with coming up with rules, question cards, tasks, and gameplay elements. The ideas exceeded all expectations!

The projects included task boxes, mini-quests about netiquette, and points for positive online behavior. Each group created a completely different version of the game—some were dynamic and fun, others more educational and discussion-provoking. They all had one thing in common: they were all created with great dedication and creativity.

Safe Online in Flowerland

Today in our class, we took part in a workshop about online safety. In Flowerland, residents care deeply about staying safe on the internet and using technology responsibly.

We talked about how to use the Internet wisely, what to watch out for, and how to protect our personal data. Together, we created a guide with the most important rules to help us navigate the online world safely. Then, we prepared a quiz on the Classwise platform to check what we already know and what we still need to learn.

At the end, the final stage was waiting for us – a game using Classpads. There were lots of emotions, teamwork, and great fun, and at the same time we reinforced important safety rules.

Happy Islands in Action – Learning from Our Older Friends

As part of the Happy Islands project, something truly special happened to us. We were invited to take part in extraordinary lessons prepared by our partners from class 6a, and students from the eighth grade joined us as well.

The sixth graders presented their project work and… wow!

They showed us inventions straight out of the future. There was a flying house, a trash bin that pays for the waste you throw in, a solar-powered vehicle, and a futuristic vehicle that sparked huge interest. Every idea was not only creative, but also taught us how to care for our planet and use technology wisely.

But that wasn’t all! Our older friends also prepared a series of fascinating physics and chemistry experiments. It was colorful, surprising, and very scientific – we learned through observation, asking questions, and discovering together.

This meeting showed us how beautiful and valuable cooperation between classes can be. We learned from our older peers, inspired one another, and had a great time doing it.

It was a lesson we will remember for a long time – definitely worth following and repeating.

HAPPY ISLANDS anthem dance

The students from class 3a created a choreography to the Happy Islands anthem. Knowing that the video would be published online, the students performed wearing self‑made masks. The colors of their outfits were chosen to match the name of our land. It was fun, but also hard work.

💥😍💥😍💥

Flowerland Is Famous for Its Colorful Fabrics

Flowerland has long been famous for producing vibrant and unique fabrics that delight with their variety of patterns and colors. In our weaving workshops, materials are created inspired by nature, imagination, and the joy of making.

This time, students from class 3c of Primary School No. 5 in Słupsk (Poland) presented their artistic skills. With great commitment, they designed and created fabric samples, experimenting with colors, textures, and composition.

Each sample is a small work of art – full of creativity, care, and children’s passion. It is proof that in Flowerland tradition goes hand in hand with a modern approach to education, and creativity is an essential part of learning.

Here are the fabric samples straight from our weaving workshops!

CHILDREN

Adults said, "The sun is eternal." Children replied, "What if it isn't?" So they built a tool. From parts found in attics, broken mirrors, wires, and old clocks.  It was shaped like an open hand reaching toward the sky. It caught the light—not to hold it, but to remember it. It learned about heat, color, and time, where everything grew effortlessly :)
